“One of the most impressive Australian comics I’ve ever seen. 9.5/10.” Michal Dutkiewicz (Batman Forever, Wolverine: Doombringer) SAMPLE PAGES: www.wocf.com.au/demons/issue-1 We will be selling our very first issue of our revolutionary graphic novel DEMONS, a claim we do not make lightly. Issue 1 is a standalone story which also doubles as your gateway into the world of DEMONS, an integrated society of humans and vampires which questions who the real demons truly are. Like the real world, DEMONS refuses to contrive easy answers, making it as real as fiction gets. DEMONS uses the supernatural metaphor of vampires as a brutally candid commentary on humanity that delves deeper and darker into the cold truths of the human psyche than other stories ever dare to venture. Artist Banasiak has created an exquisite realistic yet fantastical aesthetic by seamlessly blending a myriad of artistic disciplines from the very traditional to the latest in computer technology. DEMONS also features both a Westernised Asian (who doesn’t merely perpetuate Asian stereotypes - martial artist, nerd, etc.) and a strong, multi-dimensional female amongst its protagonists, something extremely important to me as an Asian Australian in our bid to fight long-standing, unethical yet incredulously still accepted prejudices in western media and society. I have always known I don’t think like anybody else and this would allow me to create stories unlike anything ever made. We genuinely believe DEMONS can revolutionise storytelling to become the next big thing and would love it if you joined us from the journey’s beginning in support - but just don’t complain you weren’t forewarned, this is not your ordinary story...
